Clackamas Fire District #1 has enjoyed exceptional standalone Training, and SafetyPrograms for many years. The Board of Directors, Fire Chief and Administration have continuously supported these integral programs through responsive policies and conscientious fiscal management. All three of these programs have been recognized locally, regionally and nationally and the Administration is proud of all the men and women who strive for excellence everyday.
Traditionally in the fire service these programs are stand alone divisions within themselves. Clackamas Fire District #1 has recognized that each of these areas of responsibility have direct and indirect impacts upon each other. In an act of continuous improvement and efficiency, Clackamas Fire District #1 combined these programs into one Division. The new combined Training, Safety and Wellness Division is now overseen by the Chief of Training who directly reports to the Deputy Chief of Support Services. This integration of personnel and programs has increased the efficiency and effectiveness of all three programs exponentially. Collaborative efforts across all three programs make efficiency, effectiveness and fiscal responsibility paramount.
The Administration believes strongly that our personnel are our most valuable asset. The continuous support and prioritization of these programs through the mission and values of the organization is one of our highest priorities.
