Spacer Clackamas Fire District #1

Station 16 Update

November 17, 2016

The Fire District is currently in the architect selection phase. The design phase will begin around the first of the year, with ground breaking scheduled for the late summer or early fall of 2017.

The Fire District decided to replace the current Hilltop Fire Station 16, due to the mold conditions that were discovered in May 2016.

At that time, Engine 16 and crews were relocated to the John Adams Station 15 in midtown Oregon City, where they responded from.

The crews moved from Station 15 into a modular structure located behind the current Station 16 in August 2016.

Firefighters responds from Station 16 until a new station is built. Station 16 re-opened on August 11, 2016. The crew lives in a modular structure behind the old existing station. The apparatus bay has been isolated from the mold issue and will continue to house the Engine, Medic and Mobile Command Unit from this location.

The Fire District began the process for replacing Station 16 with a Request for Proposal (RFP) for architectural services, which closed on September 9. The Fire District then began the selection process. If you need assistance at Station 16, there is a red fire box located at the old main entrance that connects you with our dispatch center.

If you have questions, please drive around to the back of the property. The firefighters will be in the modular and will assist you with your concerns
