The Operations Division of Clackamas Fire District #1 provides 24-hour customer focused emergency response services. Twenty fire stations are staffed with a minimum daily shift strength of 53 firefighters.  In addition to career staffing, the district maintains a force of volunteers who provide support in areas such as Chaplain Volunteers, Combat Volunteers, Explorer Program, Resident Volunteers, and Support Volunteers.

Clackamas Fire Special Rescue ServicesAll front line response units are staffed with advanced life support Paramedics and many of the Volunteer personnel are Paramedic or Emergency medical Technician certified as well.

We strive to provide the most advanced service to our communities in a manner that demonstrates responsible stewardship of public funds. Clackamas Fire District #1 is committed to continually assessing the safety needs of its residents and finding new ways to meet those ever changing needs.

Special Rescue Services

Today’s fire and emergency response service is more demanding then ever. With vision and dedication, the firefighters of Clackamas Fire District #1 are determined to provide the highest level of service possible including providing care for the sick and injured in unusual situations and circumstances. People caught in life-threatening situations: stranded high upon the face of a cliff, caught in the torrent of rushing flood waters, buried under dirt in a collapsed trench or trapped deep underground in a narrow pipe. The district’s specialty rescue services are delivered through multi-disciplinary technical rescue companies strategically deployed throughout the district. Special rescue operations are inherently more dangerous than routine fire suppression and require advanced training and technologically advanced equipment. Clackamas Fire District #1 is committed to dedicating resources to develop and maintain these specialty programs; continually striving to keep abreast of the latest performance and technological standards.
